FAQ

QWhat is 1-800-JUNKPRO® ?
A:  1-800-JUNKPRO is a revolutionary home service that is the first to offer a full-service option and a D.I.Y. option for bulk disposal and recycling of household items, such as; furniture, appliances, remodeling debris, moving remnants, and just about anything else non-hazardous that you'd like to have hauled away. For the Do-it-yourselfer, we offer a driveway friendly dumpster service, where we deliver a dumpster to your home or business, leave it for you to fill, then return on the promised pick up day to pick it up and dispose of the contents.  Our other service is Full-service Junk Removal, which is for anyone wanting us to carry the items from anywhere on the property (garage, basement, backyard, etc.), load the truck, and haul the items to either a donation center, recycling center, or disposal site. Q:  What makes 1-800-JUNKPRO® different?
A: What sets us apart from other companies is our exceptional customer service. Our intention is always to “wow” our customers with our professionalism. This means on-time service; friendly, uniformed drivers; up-front rates; and clean, shiny trucks and dumpsters. Another thing that sets us apart, is that we offer a full-service option (Junk Removal), and an option for the do-it-yourselfer (Dumpster Rental)... And since we offer both, there is no reason for us to push one or the other on you. It's kind of like offering both Ford and Chevy at the same dealership. We're able to tell you about both, and let you decide, without fear of losing you business.

Q:  Do you take credit cards?
A: Yes. We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express. We also accept debit cards with these logos.

Q:  Are you open on weekends?
A:  Yes. We're open 7 days a week... Feel free to call now!

Junk Removal Specific F.A.Q's

Q:  What is Full-Service Junk Removal?
A: Full-Service means all you have to do is point. We go anywhere in or around your home or business to get the items, do all the heavy carrying and loading, then leave the area broom-swept. Your full-service team will haul away just about anything you no longer want or need, such as - old furniture, appliances, household or business junk, remodeling debris, moving remnants and anything non-hazardous that two people can lift.

Q:  What do you do with the junk?
A: If it's in good shape, we'll donate it. If it's too far past its prime, we'll recycle it. If it cannot be donated or recycled, it will be disposed of properlyClick here to find out what we can recycle and donate.

Q:  What items do you take?
A:  Anything non-hazardous that 2 people can practically carry.

Q:  Do you come into the home or business to get the items?
A:  Yes, with permission from you, we go anywhere in or around your home or business to get your items. All you have to do is point the items out. We do all the heavy lifting, loading and clean-up.

Q:  Why are appointments booked in two-hour time slots?
A:  This allows our team to be prepared for unforeseen events such as traffic delays or jobs that are larger than expected. Our team will call you 15-30 minutes before arrival to let you know we are on the way.

Q:  How much will my junk removal cost?
A:  Once on site, our team will give you a clear estimate before any work begins. We charge by volume, so you only pay for the space your junk takes up in the truck.

Q:  Can you give me an exact price before I book a job?
A:  Our price is based on the amount of room your junk takes up in the truck and includes all labor, hauling, and disposal/transfer station fees. It is difficult to get a good idea of the amount of room your junk will take up without seeing it first. Our team will give you a clear estimate before any work begins.

Q:  Do I have to be present to have the work done?
A:  No. If everything is outside, we can assess the load size and call you with a price before the work is started and payment can be made over the phone by credit card.

Dumpster Rental Specific F.A.Q's

Q:  How does Dumpster Rental work?
A:  On your delivery day, we will call you 15-30 before we arrive with your dumpster. Once we arrive, we'll ask you where you'd like us to place it. We'll gladly place it anywhere on your property, as long as it's not unsafe, or unreachable with our truck. The dumpster will stay on-site for 7 days unless you've either made special arrangments or call for an early pick-up. We will return to pick it up the same day of the week, the next week (i.e. Tuesday - Tuesday).

Q:  Does someone need to be there when my dumpster is delivered?
A:  No. If we're going to be delivering the dumpster during a time you are away, please let us know and we'll send you a link to eSign (electronically sign) for the delivery, which can be done from any smartphone or computer.

Q:  Do I have to keep the dumpster for the full 7 days?
A:  No, the rental price just includes up to 7 days. If you would like it picked up sooner, just give us a call when it’s ready and we’ll pick it up as soon as possible.

Q:  Is there any way I can keep the dumpster for longer than 7 days?
A:  Yes, however it is subject to availability, meaning, as long as the dumpster hasn’t already been reserved, you may keep it for an additional daily rate for up to 7 extra days. If you are wanting to extend the rental period, please let us know as soon as possible.

Q:  How full can I fill the dumpster?
A:  Dumpsters may be filled to, but not past, the “MAXIMUM LOAD LEVEL” mark on the outside of the dumpster, as long as the total weight of the material does not exceed 4 tons (8000 lbs.)

Q:  What happens if the contents of my dumpster exceed the included disposal weight?
A:  If the dumpster contents exceed the weight included with your rental rate, you will be charged an additional fee per ton, rounded up to the nearest ton. The maximum weight allowed in any size dumpster is 4 tons (8000 lbs.). Any dumpster loaded heavier than 4 tons, may not be picked up, and a return trip fee, plus $10 for each additional day, will be applied to the cost of the service. You will be responsible for unloading the items causing the dumpster to be over-weight.

Q:  Why am I only allowed to put a small amount of dense materials in the dumpster?
A:  Due to their heavy makeup, it’s easy to go over on tonnage with these materials. If this happens, you will be responsible for paying additional fees.

Q:  What happens if prohibited items are found?
A: If prohibited items, such as tires or batteries, are found in your load, additional fees will be assessed.

Q:  How many shingles can I put in a dumpster?
A:  Customers may put up to 25 square in our small dumpsters ONLY. Additional tonnage fees will be assessed after the first ton.

Q:  Is there anything I can't put in the dumpster?
A:  Yes, there are certain items that cannot go into the dumpster. For a full list of these items, please enter your zip code above and click “GO”.
